11-DAY TOUR FROM GUATEMALA CITY TO CANCÚN
World of the Maya  An unforgettable travel experience that takes to you to the most important sights of the Maya world in three different countries. Mexico, Belize and Guatemala offer impressive archeological sites complemented by their beautiful scenery and natural diversity.TRAVELOGUE Day 1: Guatemala City Arrival and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Day 2: Guatemala City -Chichicastenango - Panajachel One of the prettiest and most colorful markets of the highland Indians takes place today in Chichicastenango. Next you travel to Panajachel and from here you continue by water taxi across Lake Atitlán to the Maya city of Santiago. After a walk through the narrow alleys and the church you return to Panajachel. Day 3: Panajachel -Antigua - Guatemala City In the morning you enjoy a tour of the former capital and colonial crown jewel of Guatemala: Antigua. Visit the monastery, the central city park and a jade workshop. Later in the afternoon you travel to Guatemala City. Day 4: Guatemala City - Flores After breakfast you visit the metropolis of Guatemala City, including the old historic center, the metropolitan cathedral and government palace. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Flores. Day 5: Flores - Tikal Enjoy an extensive tour of the most monumental cultural site of the Mayas: Tikal- over 3000 buildings have been uncovered here. After lunch (included) you have the opportunity to visit the Morley Museum with a collection of artifacts found during the excavations of Tikal. Dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: Tikal - Flores -Cancún - Playa del Carmen Transfer to the airport of Flores for your flight to Cancún. After arrival you are transferred to your beach hotel in Playa del Carmen. Day 7: Playa del Carmen Enjoy a leisurely day at the beach in Hotel Aventura Mexicana. Day 8: Playa del Carmen -Chichén Itzá - Uxmal Visit the legendary archeological site of Chichén Itzá and its many impressive buildings, such as the Kukulkan Pyramid, the Observatory and temples. In the afternoon you continue to Uxmal. In the evening there is an impressive light and sound show at the ruins. Day 9: Uxmal - Kabah -Celestún - Mérida Guided tour of the mystic Maya monuments at Uxmal and Kabah. In the afternoon you travel to the fishing village of Celestun for a boat tour of the lagoon, the natural habitat of large colonies of pink Flamingos. Today’s final destination is Mérida. Day 10: Mérida - Cancún In the morning you enjoy a city tour of Mérida and visit the governor’s palace, the Montejo palace, the cathedral and the lively local market. In the afternoon we return to Cancun with a short stop in Valladolid to see the famous Dznitup Cenote, an underground lagoon in a limestone cave. Day 11: Cancún Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
